A Little Bit About What We Do

What We Do

Ok, so you've turned on your computer, typed into a search engine, Mobile discos in Liverpool, wedding djs in Liverpool, karaoke hire Liverpool, or something along these lines, then you've landed on our website, maybe even this page, so let us tell you a little bit about ourselves and what we do.

Well, first off, we're not an agency, when you book with us, you're hiring the DJ you speak to or liaise with. We won't send a DJ to your event that's inexperienced, neither will we provide you with a DJ who's not suitable for the age group.

Secondly, our motto is, "It's Your Event"

By that we mean, you're paying to hire us, so our aim first and foremost is to play the right music suitable for you and guests, if we leave at the end of the night, and everyone has had a good time, then we're happy, that's our job done.

And last but by no means least, we like to play what we believe to be good music. Here's the types of Music We Specialise In

If there's a varied age range of guests, then we'll play songs from different era's that people of all ages will like, or if all the guests are roughly around the same age, then we'll cater to their musical tastes.

We also don't have any qualms about taking requests from guests on the night either, requests help us know what people like, so we love to take requests.

What We Don't Do

We don't cover Christenings, Communions, Children's parties or Teenage discos at the moment until we can find a suitable children's entertainer to work with us.

A lot of people presume that Mobile DJs will be natural children's entertainers, when in fact, they're quite different.

A children's entertainer is a specialist skill in itself, if any of you have children, then you'll understand that they're hard to entertain at the best of times, so our theory is, leave it to the people who do it best.

Hopefully, this may change at some point in the future if we can work with a DJ who specialise's in this field.

In the meantime, If you are looking for a children's entertainer, then a quick google for 'childrens entertainer liverpool' should yield some good results.

Our Experience

If you've managed to get this far without getting bored, then well done, we'll tell you a bit about our experience and what we've done in the past.

Well, for Darren, 35, it all started with him playing his mum's Beatles, Elvis & Perry Como records when he was 8, it spiraled completely out of control when a bass guitar that he bought from his brothers friend (cheers Tock) when he was 15 soon had him envisioning himself playing wembley stadium with Pink Floyd, U2, & The Doors as his supporting acts.

However, in the real world, his dreams never materialised, he was playing gigs, alas, it was always to family and friends around the local pubs and on the local gig circuit in Liverpool city centre.

Then at 21, he met his lovely girlfriend (now wife) Cara, they bought a house together, and Darren turned 2 rooms into a recording studio, this time envisioning himself as the next George Martin.

Eventually over time, dreams of producing the next "Definitely Maybe" had faded and the reality of having a mortgage and bills to pay kicked in, but he still had a burning passion and a love of music.

Then one day, the idea came to him, "If i can't make a living out of playing my own music, then why not make a living out of playing other peoples music?" and the rest as they say, is history.

On a serious note, Darren is highly experienced in setting up sound & lighting equipment, and has covered countless weddings, private parties, 30th's, 40th's etc. since he first started, and with his background in audio production, and years of listening to and producing music, you're guaranteed he'll be playing songs that everyone in the room will love.

James, 31, started DJing around 12 years ago in a local bar near his home town of Warrington, and in 2002, moved out to Crete to DJ full time professionally.

He returned to England in 2005 to work for himself for about a year DJing at weddings, birthdays and one night a week in Legends, his local nightclub.

Then in April 2006 he returned abroad, this time to Magaluf in Mallorca as the resident in Alex's disco bar.

In 2008, he returned home to Warrington, to settle down with his girlfriend & new baby girl, and he now covers numerous gigs for us all over the north west.

Our Conduct

We have a code of conduct that we stick to whenever we play anywhere, any time of the year, including xmas & new year.

The main thing we want as a business, is for you and your guests to have a good time, for one simple reason.

If everyone is at ease, sitting down chatting, listening to the music, or enjoying themselves dancing, then it makes our job a lot easier, if everyone's had a good time, then we usually pick up a few bookings at the end of the night.

It's not very often special parties come around, so besides from the right music being played for your event, you can be assured at the very least we will:

  1. Play the music you & your guests want to hear, not the music that we want to hear.
  2. Be polite.
  3. Arrive early at the venue to get set up.
  4. Enjoy what we do.
  5. Read the crowd.
  6. Take requests.
  7. Put a lot of thought & effort into making the night a success.
  8. Never get drunk.
  9. Obey all health & safety laws at the venue.
  10. Never double book anyone.
