"Independent Women" was originally released on the soundtrack to the 2000 movie Charlie's Angels, and then later released as a single by Destiny's Child.
The single eventually went on to hit the No.1 spot on the UK Charts in December 2000, becoming the first No.1 single for the band in the UK.
As of May 2005, Destiny's Child have had 14 top 40 singles in the UK between 1998 - 2005, with all but two of the singles making the top 10.
