The single eventually went on to peak at No.35 on the UK Charts in September 1998, and was the first single by the band to break in to the top 40 in the UK.
As of March 2004, Gomez have had 6 top 40 singles in the UK between 1998 - 2004, with "Rhythm & Blues Alibi" being their highest charting single when it reached No.18 in September 1999.
