"Teardrop" was originally released as a single by Massive Attack from their 1998 album "Mezzanine" and contains a drum sample from the Les McCann song "Sometimes I Cry"

The single eventually went on to peak at No.10 on the UK Charts in May 1998, and is currently the band's highest charting single in the UK.

As of March 2006, Massive Attack have had 11 top 40 singles in the UK between 1991 - 2006, with six of the singles making the top 20.
