"Pure Morning" was originally released as a single by Placebo in August 1998 from their second studio album "Without You I'm Nothing"
The single eventually went on to peak at No.4 on the UK Charts in August 1998, and along with 1997's "Nancy Boy" it is currently the band's highest charting single in the UK.
As of October 2006, Placebo have had 15 top 40 singles in the UK between 1996 - 2006, including 3 top 10 singles.
