"Here Comes The Hotstepper" was released as a single by Ini Kamoze in November 1994, and eventually went on to peak at No.4 on the UK Charts in January 1995.
The song uses the 'na na na na na' lines that were made famous by Cannibal & The Headhunters in their 1965 song "Land Of 1000 Dances"
This was the only hit single Kamoze ever had in the UK, effectively making him a one hit wonder, even though he has been releasing records since 1984, and right up to the present day.
