"My Baby Just Cares For Me" was originally written in 1928 by Walter Donaldson & Gus Kahn for the musical comedy "Whoopee"

It was later recorded by Nina Simone in 1958 for her debut album "Little Girl Blue" but remained relatively unknown until 1987 when it was used in a TV advert.

The song was released as a single twice by Nina Simone, the first time was in 1985, and it only managed to reach No.82, then, after it was used in the advert, it was re-released, this time hitting No.5 on the UK Charts in October 1987.
