"The Unforgettable Fire" was released as a single by U2 in April 1985, and eventually went on to peak at No.6 on the UK Charts in May 1985.

The single was taken from U2's 4th studio album also entitled "The Unforgettable Fire" and the distinctive atmospheric sound of the album, was partly due to it being produced by Brian Eno & Daniel Lanois.

The album produced two UK top 40 singles, the other song being the No.3 hit "Pride (In The Name Of Love)"
