"Somebody's Watching Me" was the debut single by Rockwell, and it was the only single by him to reach the top 40 in the UK Charts, peaking at No.6 in February 1984.
Rockwell was the son of Motown Records founder Berry Gordy Jr, and was apparently signed to the label without his fathers knowledge, Gordy only discovered that the song was by his son, after the single was released.
The song also features Michael Jackson on the chorus with Jermaine Jackson on additional backing vocal duties.
