"Holiday" was the first single by Madonna to enter the UK Charts. It was originally released in September 1983, and eventually went on to peak at No.6 in January 1984.

It was also re-released in August 1985, this time hitting the No.2 spot, and was only stopped from reaching the No.1 position on the chart by her own song "Into The Groove"

At the time of writing this, Madonna has had a total of 66 top 40 songs in the charts in the UK, and is currently the most successful female recording artist of all time.
