"New Years Day" was originally released as a single by U2 from their classic 1983 album War.
The single peaked at No.10 on the UK Charts in January 1983, and was the first song by U2 to reach the UK top 10.
The Edge revealed in the band's official biography, that the four people in the video riding on horseback, were in fact four Swedish teenage girls disguised as members of the band with masks over their faces.
