"Maid Of Orleans" was written by Andy McCluskey, and released as a single by OMD, from their 1981 Architecture & Morality album.
To prevent confusion with OMD's previous single "Joan Of Arc" the song was renamed "Maid Of Orleans (The Waltz Joan Of Arc)"
The song was written about the French heroine Joan Of Arc, and it eventually went on to peak at No.4 in the UK Charts in January 1982.
