"Going Underground" was released in March 1980, and became the first UK No.1 single for The Jam.
It went straight in at No.1, an extremely rare feat at the time, and it was to be the first of four No.1 singles The Jam would have in the UK Singles Chart.
The song was not released on any of the band's Six Studio Albums initially, although it has appeared on many compilation/re-releases since.
