The song was written by the band's bassist/vocalist Roger Waters and is one of only 2 songs by Pink Floyd that is not sung by a member of the band. Lead vocal duties on "Have A Cigar" were credited to Roy Harper.
The only other track that is not sung by a memeber of the band is "The Great Gig In The Sky" which features on their 1973 album "Dark Side Of The Moon"
