"Lady Eleanor" was written by Alan Hull, and was featured on the first Lindisfarne album, "Nicely Out Of Tune"
It was originally released as a single in 1970, but it failed to chart.
In 1972, following the Top 10 success of "Meet Me On The Corner" it was re-released and became the band's second consecutive hit single, reaching No.3 in the UK Charts.
