"Albatross" is a guitar-based instrumental written by Peter Green and released as a single at the tail end of 1968 by Fleetwood Mac.
It was a massive hit in the UK reaching No.1. However, in America, it didn't fare very well at all, only managing to reach No.104 on the Billboard Charts.
"Albatross" is the only Fleetwood Mac song with the distinction of having inspired a Beatles song, "Sun King" from 1969's Abbey Road album.
