"Hey Jude" was written by Paul McCartney but credited to Lennon/McCartney. It was released in August 1968 as the first single from The Beatles' record label Apple Records.

Totalling more than 7 minutes in length, "Hey Jude" was at the time, the longest single ever to top the British Charts.

The single has sold approximately 8 million copies and is often included on many lists of the all-time best songs, including ours.
