"Everybody's Talkin" was originally written by folk rock singer/songwriter Fred Neil, and it was released by him first as a single in 1966.

In 1969, The song was a major hit for Harry Nilsson, peaking at No.6 on the American pop chart, and it is probably Harry Nilsson's most remembered song.

Nilsson's highest UK chart position was only No.23.

In 1994, when The Beautiful South recorded their version of the song, they managed to achieve a higher chart position, reaching No.12, however, It's Definitely Nilsson's version that most people will remember.
