"In The Midnight Hour" was written in 1965 by Wilson Pickett and Steve Cropper at the historic Lorraine Motel in Memphis where Martin Luther King would later be murdered in April 1968.
It was Pickett's first hit for Atlantic Records, reaching No.12 on the UK Charts and peaking at No.21 on the American pop Charts.
The song has become a 60's soul classic, and comes in at No.134 on Rolling Stone Magazines list of the 500 greatest songs of all time.
