"Walking To New Orleans" was written by Bobby Charles in 1960 especially for Fats Domino

Legend has it that after a concert, Domino invited Charles to come and visit him in New Orleans. Charles replied, "I don't have a car, If I go, I'd have to walk"

Afterwards, the thought remained on Charles' mind, and he said he wrote the song for Domino in 15 minutes. The record was a hit, reaching No.6 on the American pop chart and No.2 on the R&B chart.
