"Rip It Up" was written by Robert Blackwell & John Marascalco and was a popular song from the mid 1950's for those who don't know.
Two versions were released in 1956, the Bill Haley Version and the version by Little Richard that we've included here in our chart.
The Little Richard version hit No.1 on the American R&B chart, and peaked at No.17 on the pop chart, it would also become his first single in the UK, hitting No.30 in December 1956.
