"Love Is Strange" features a sinuous guitar riff and provocative verbal byplay between Mickey & Sylvia, as well as a Latin American beat and a strong melodic hook.

The song was a 1956 Top 40 hit, reaching No.11 on the American Billboard Pop Singles chart, and was their only Top 20 hit.

The single failed to chart in the UK, although it became a No.11 hit for The Everly Brothers in October 1965 when they recorded their version of the song.
