Vincent Eugene Craddock, better known as Gene Vincent, was an American musician who helped pioneer rockabilly into mainstream music.

His 1956 American top 10 hit "Be-Bop-A-Lula" is considered a significant early example of rockabilly.

The single also hit No.16 on the UK Charts in August of the same year, although it wasn't his biggest hit song in the UK as you may have thought, it was "Pistol Packin' Mama" which reached No.15 in June 1960.
