The Original Version of "See You Later Alligator" was written & recorded by American singer/songwriter "Bobby Charles" in 1955.
The version by Bill Haley & His Comets is faster-paced than the original, and in particular the addition of a 2-4 beat changed the song from a rhythm & blues "shuffle" to rock and roll "swing"
It would become Haley's 3rd and final million-selling single.
